The remaster of Final Fantasy Tactics, titled Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles, is set to be released in 2025. Square Enix made the surprise announcement during the State of Play event on June 4, 2025. The remaster will be available on current and previous generation consoles, as well as PC, on September 30, 2025, featuring various improvements and updates.
The remaster includes voices for all dialogues, an updated interface, graphical enhancements, and other improvements aimed at enhancing the overall gaming experience. It has been confirmed that the localization is based on the War of the Lions version.
Players will have the option to play the original 1997 version or choose the remaster for a more modern experience. The remaster promises to deliver an enhanced and updated version of the beloved classic game.
