Final Fantasy 11: A long-lasting adventure
Square Enix’s Surprise
Final Fantasy 11 was released back in 2002 for PS2 and PC, and to everyone’s surprise, it’s still going strong on the PC version thanks to the dedicated fans who keep the game alive. Yoji Fujito, the current director of the MMORPG, recently revealed in an interview that Square Enix was ready to shut down the PC version of Final Fantasy 11 in 2024. However, due to the continuous player logins, they decided to keep it running.
Players’ Dedication
Since 2002, players of Final Fantasy 11 have been paying around $12 monthly to enjoy the game. Contrary to Square Enix’s expectations, dedicated players kept logging in and staying active, leading the company to create even more content to keep up with the demand.
Exciting Updates Ahead
Instead of pulling the plug on Final Fantasy 11, Square Enix is planning to release new updates with adjustments to the control settings, a new Trust system, the ability to change a character’s race, new content for the Limbus system, and even a brand new high-tier mission area. So, for all the adventurers out there, the journey in Final Fantasy 11 is far from over!
