Berserk is a much-loved dark fantasy manga that is famous for its brutal events, as well as for the long waits fans endure for new chapters or volumes, especially in the West.
The Long Wait Continues
On August 29th, Japanese fans received volume 43 of the Berserk manga, containing chapters 374 to 382. However, recent statements from the new person in charge of the series have left fans eagerly anticipating what comes next. Unfortunately, it has been revealed that the wait for new volumes will be very lengthy.
Patience is Key
In the final pages of volume 43, it was announced that the next volume will not be released in Japan until 2027. This means a wait of approximately 2 years for Japanese fans, but international fans will have an even longer wait ahead of them. The English version of a volume of Berserk may take over a year to be released, so volume 42 may not reach the West until the latter half of 2026, with volume 43 potentially arriving in 2028.
The current person in charge, Koji Mori, has stated that it will take at least 10 years to complete Berserk, suggesting that fans may not see the conclusion of Guts’ saga until 2035.
