The Smashing Machine: Dwayne Johnson Stars in New Film
The upcoming film “The Smashing Machine” features Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock, alongside Emily Blunt as Mark Kerr, an MMA fighter and two-time UFC champion. The A24 has released the first trailer for the movie, showcasing Johnson as Kerr in scenes where he is almost unrecognizable, a testament to his dedication to the role.
Directed and written by Benny Safdie, known for his work on “Uncut Gems” and “Good Time” with his brother Josh Safdie, “The Smashing Machine” will depict Kerr’s journey to become a champion in mixed martial arts. Set to hit theaters in October 2025 and based on a true story, this intense film promises to showcase Dwayne Johnson in a new light.
