TinyBuild Faces Layoffs Amid Financial Setbacks
TinyBuild, known for popular titles like Hello Neighbor and Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator, is reportedly facing layoffs after failing to meet financial targets for the year.
According to reports, employees at three studios in Serbia were affected, with up to 30% losing their jobs without prior notice. CEO Alex Nichiporchik expressed sadness at having to let go of colleagues who had contributed greatly to the company.
Challenges in the Video Game Industry
Nichiporchik cited weak demand for video games and market conditions as factors leading to the decision to downsize. The company’s financial struggles and limited resources necessitated the layoffs as a last resort to avoid bankruptcy.
Despite the challenges, there is hope for TinyBuild to continue its operations and overcome the current difficulties in the industry.
