Reeves portrayed John Constantine in the 2005 film, a DC Comics character known for his involvement in the supernatural side of the universe. Constantine has played a significant role in saving the DC universe, often alongside the Justice League Dark.
The delay in making Constantine 2 a reality has been attributed to Reeves not being satisfied with previous script ideas. However, a final script was submitted for approval by the studio at the end of 2024, and efforts have been made to enhance it ever since. Reeves is waiting eagerly to discuss the script with the studio, hoping they will approve the project.
