The most recent Awsome Games Done Quick event took place between January 5th and 12th, featuring over 130 speedrunning sessions to raise money for cancer research. Over 2.4 million euros were raised during these days, which will be donated to the Cancer Prevention Foundation. Throughout its 15 years of activity, Games Done Quick has raised close to 53 million euros.
According to VGC, a one-hour session to finish Pikmin kicked off the 2025 event, with titles like Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Astro Bot, UFO 50, Silent Hill 2, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, among others, being played during the event. Notable highlights from the 2025 event include playing Elden Ring with a saxophone and Crazy Taxi accompanied by a live band to avoid copyright issues.
