Confirmation of Hi-Fi Rush 2 development
Maria Park from Krafton confirmed that TangoGameworks is working on Hi-Fi Rush 2, a project that was already in progress when Microsoft decided to shut down the Japanese studio, which they claim they rushed to save.
Commitment to high-quality sequel
Park stated that the team’s goal is to develop a sequel of the highest quality, without compromises, which means it will not be rushed. Tango will take the time needed to create something worthy of the original.
Future plans and goals
Meanwhile, the plan is to release more content for the original game, which they are exploring, as well as a Nintendo Switch version of the original. Creating more dynamic, less linear environments and even a bit of an open-world feeling are part of the goals for Hi-Fi Rush 2, which will have to surpass the first game for the team to feel they have fulfilled their duty.
