Upcoming Street Fighter Movie Premiere
Exciting news for Street Fighter fans! The highly anticipated movie adaptation of the popular video game has a confirmed release date of October 16, 2026. Produced by Capcom and Legendary Entertainment, the film will be distributed worldwide by Paramount Pictures as part of a three-year partnership agreement between the two studios. Legendary East will handle the release in China.
The Plot and Cast
Set in 1993, the film follows the story of Ryu (played by Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (played by Noah Centineo), who are drawn back into the world of fighting after being recruited by Chun-Li (played by Callina Liang) to participate in the World Warrior tournament. The tournament becomes more than just a competition as it uncovers a conspiracy that forces the characters to face not only their opponents but also their own personal demons.
The star-studded cast includes Jason Momoa as Blanka, Roman Reigns as Akuma, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog, and many more. The project has seen some changes since Legendary acquired the rights in 2023, with director Kitao Sakurai taking the helm in 2025.
