The beta version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has recently launched and is already causing a stir, not only due to the game’s new features. Videos showcasing players using cheats such as aimbots and wallhacks, which can disrupt any match, have started to emerge since day one.
Activision had previously mentioned that this testing phase would also serve to put the anti-cheat system RICOCHET to the test, which has been improved with machine learning-based detection. Additionally, players on PC are required to have TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot enabled to play, aiming to deter cheaters. Despite these measures, videos demonstrating cheats in action have quickly circulated on social media.
Cheating issues are almost inevitable in open betas, as cheaters take advantage of the opportunity to test their tactics while developers gather data for adjustments. The development team has reassured players that they are actively monitoring the situation and issuing permanent bans for any abuses detected.
