Dead Island 2 heading to Steam after one-year exclusivity on Epic Games Store
Dead Island 2 is on its way to Steam, after twelve months as an exclusive on the Epic Games Store, at least in terms of the PC version. Techland and Deep Silver have announced that Dead Island will be available on Valve’s digital platform starting on April 22nd, and in the meantime, you can get one of the games in the series for free.
Until February 15th, you can visit the Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition page and add the game to your library at no cost, to have it forever at your disposal.
Dead Island 2 review and analysis
Dead Island 2 was released in April 2023 and was described in the following way in our review: “It’s that feeling that lasts in the end. The dismemberment system is fun; combat works, although it becomes repetitive. When played in cooperative mode, it’s more fun. Otherwise, Dead Island 2 doesn’t have much to offer. The story is disposable. The map and exploration design are outdated. Technically, it’s not a game from the current generation. I give credit to Dambuster Studios and Deep Silver for making the effort to finish the game, but for a title that was in development for almost 9 years, more was expected. If you like zombies, it may be interesting when it eventually drops in price.”
