After Square Enix revealed that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth did not sell as expected upon release, many fans were concerned that this could impact the investment and scale of the third part.
Reassuring Words from Naoki Hamaguchi
However, Naoki Hamaguchi, the producer of the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy, commented that there is no need for worries as the PS5 and PC versions of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth are selling well, with no impact on the scale of the third part.
“The second part, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, is selling well on PS5 and PC. I know some fans have expressed concerns, but please rest assured, we will be able to deliver a high-quality third part,” said Hamaguchi to Automaton.
Smooth Development Progress for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3
Regarding the third part of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Hamaguchi also mentioned that the development is going very smoothly, with a lot of content already playable and the game’s direction and form already defined.
Furthermore, he noted that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 is progressing as planned, with no delays in the works, not to mention that many fans will still play the first two parts on Nintendo Switch 2 and PC before starting the third installment.
