Sony Interactive Entertainment has already made the monthly updates for October 2023 available to all PlayStation Plus subscribers.
There are three games available at all levels, including Essential, for all subscribers. These games remain accessible to you after being added to the library, as long as the subscription remains active.
Unlike games in the Extra and Premium catalogs, these games do not become unavailable when they are removed and replaced by other games that are added in the meantime.
Among The Calisto Protocol, Weird West, and Farming Simulator 22, the highlight is the first one, a horror game released in December 2022 that generated a lot of buzz in the months before and after its launch.
Here’s what we wrote in the review:
“I can’t recommend it, and despite some good moments, they are not enough to overlook its obvious shortcomings. Linear in a negative way, without extra challenges (puzzles), it’s about fetching something to unlock something else with some monsters along the way. There’s a lack of exciting content and climactic moments. Due to lack of time or budget constraints, I know that The Calisto Protocol is a project with a heavy burden, Dead Space. Sometimes it feels rushed to meet the holiday sales window. I’m really sorry.”
