God of War TV series filming set for 2026
The Amazon television series based on the popular game God of War is currently in production and is expected to start filming next year. According to Nexuspointnews, filming is scheduled to begin in March 2026 in Vancouver, Canada. However, this information has not been officially confirmed by Amazon or PlayStation Productions.
The show will follow the journey of Kratos and his son Atreus as they fulfill the final wish of Kratos’ wife, based on the 2018 game from Sony Santa Monica Studio. Ronald D. Moore, known for his work on Battlestar Galactica, is leading the production as the showrunner. He aims to maintain the essence of the story and characters while not creating a literal reproduction of the game.
Amazon approves second season
Despite some changes in creative direction during production, Amazon has already given the green light for a second season of the series. Casting for the new season is currently ongoing.
