PlayStation’s Strategic Vision
Phil Rosenberg, senior vice president of PlayStation for global partner relations and development, describes PlayStation as a very well choreographed dance, which seems easy but requires immense work. This work and effort will result in a 2025 ending with a bang and a 2026 that will be equally fabulous,” says this PlayStation executive who knows something about the company’s calendar that we don’t know yet.
Technological Evolution and Gaming
“I think we have the smartest, most creative and most passionate people in the world working at Sony Interactive Entertainment,” Rosenberg says in an interview. “They are experts in areas that require specific expertise. I think as technology evolves, it becomes more stable, runs faster, and gaming will be an even bigger part of the entertainment world.”
Upcoming PlayStation Projects
Rosenberg says that PlayStation operates like a ballet, which may seem effortless to outsiders, but in reality requires a lot of work and “lifting heavy weights” behind the scenes, something in which “we are very good at.” The executive will leave Sony at the end of the year, but says he is very encouraged and hopeful with the wind that has been moving the company’s sails, believes that 2025 will end with a bang and talks about 2026 as “a fabulous year.” Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Ghost of Yotei, Marvel’s Wolverine, and Intergalactic: The Herectic Prophet are some of the PlayStation Studios projects already announced and scheduled for the coming months or years.
