La Liga EA Sports: A New Era for Spanish Football
After the announcement in August 2022, La Liga embarked on a new era marked by an agreement with Electronic Arts which will result in a new name for the Spanish football championship, La Liga EA Sports.
Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, says that it is “the beginning of a new era that precedes a revolutionary change for Spanish football and the industry. We do this surrounded by clubs and strategic partners like EA Sports, without them none of this would be possible.”
David Jackson, vice president of the EA Sports brand, says that “LaLiga uniquely shares our vision of a football future focused on the fan and this partnership gives us the opportunity to change the way fans engage with the game.”
The partnership will have various real-life effects, but it will also impact EA Sports FC, the first EA Sports football game without the FIFA name, marking the beginning of a new era for the famous series.
La Liga Hypermotion: The Influence of EA Sports
EA Sports has been in a partnership with LaLiga for several years and has long been one of its main partners, but it has now become the primary partner with an investment that allows it to put its name on the title of the top competition in Spain.
Furthermore, it was revealed that the second division will be named La Liga Hypermotion, another reference to EA Sports and its technology.
