Best-Selling Physical Game in Japan
In the period from August 19 to 25, Powerful Pro Baseball 2024-2025 from Konami was the best-selling physical game in Japanese stores, according to Famitsu data.
Konami’s game remained the top seller, with over 10,000 units sold in a week, enough to stay ahead of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which is nearing 6 million physical units sold in Japanese stores.
Top Selling Consoles
When it comes to consoles, the Nintendo Switch leads with almost 43,000 units when all models are combined. The PS5 with a disc drive was the best-selling console, but when adding the digital edition units, it surpassed 31,000 units.
