Upcoming Game Releases in February 2025
The month of February 2025 is set to be highly competitive, with major releases on the schedule: Assassin’s Creed Shadows arrives on the 14th, Avowed on the 18th, and Monster Hunter Wilds closes the month with its debut on the 28th.
Confidence in the Face of Competition
Despite being sandwiched between two heavyweights, Obsidian – the creators of Avowed – is not afraid of the competition and believes that the game will be able to stand out.
“The wonderful thing about the modern era, as a gamer, is that there are always great new releases on the horizon,” says game director Carrie Patel. “I don’t think you’ll ever find a window where absolutely nothing is coming out and you’re the only game of the month. But we are very confident that Avowed will be able to hold its own.”
Unique RPG Experience
During the interview, Patel expresses great excitement for all these games and mentions that Avowed will offer a different experience from all of them.
“So, players looking for an RPG in the Obsidian style, with our approach to choice and consequence and our very subtle narrative approach, will find exactly what they are looking for with Avowed. And the time we have until February gives us more time as a team to fix bugs and make final adjustments.”
