Hardware Requirements for Mafia: The Old Country
The hardware requirements for PC for Mafia: The Old Country have been revealed by Hangar 13, and it’s clear that the game will demand a powerful machine for those who want to fully enjoy the graphics. For playing at 1080p with medium settings, you’ll need at least an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X or an Intel Core i7-9700K, paired with an AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT or NVIDIA RTX 2070 graphics card, as well as 16 GB of RAM.
For those looking to step it up and play at 1440p on High settings, the requirements become more demanding. Hangar 13 recommends a Ryzen 7 5800X or Core i7-12700K processor and a GPU Radeon RX 6950 XT or RTX 3080 Ti, with 32 GB of RAM. The Epic setting, aiming for a near 4K experience, calls for a Ryzen 7 9700X or Intel Core i7-14700K processor and a Radeon RX 9070 or RTX 4070 Ti graphics card.
Graphics Modes on Consoles
On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, the producer confirmed two graphics modes. Performance mode focuses on 60 FPS, while Quality mode prioritizes higher resolution and visual fidelity, without a set frame rate, but likely around 30 FPS, similar to cutscenes on PC. The choice between smooth gameplay and visual quality will be up to the player.
Additional Information and Release Date
In addition to the specifications, Hangar 13 has released additional information about the game’s production. The game is being developed using Unreal Engine 5, with more detailed environments and realistic lighting. A single building can have over a million triangles, much more than was possible in previous games in the series. The team also collaborated with the Italian studio Stormind Games to ensure cultural and historical authenticity in the recreation of early 20th century Sicily. Mafia: The Old Country is set to be released on August 8, 2025, and will be available on PC (via Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
