Walter Kong’s new role at Blizzard
Walter Kong, formerly one of the lead managers in the Overwatch franchise at Blizzard, has recently taken on new responsibilities. In a post on LinkedIn, Kong announced that his role now extends beyond Overwatch. While he will continue to oversee the popular franchise, he will also be managing Blizzard’s mobile and service efforts.
Expanding responsibilities
Alongside his continued involvement with Overwatch, Kong will now be assisting in the management of Hearthstone, Diablo Immortal, and Warcraft Rumble. These projects are key components of Blizzard’s mobile and service initiatives, and Kong’s aim is to support these teams in creating new initiatives and enhancing their development environments. Despite having initially focused on Overwatch, Kong has now been entrusted with a broader range of responsibilities.
