Speculation arose at the end of the trailer, as the Resident Evil Requiem logo and release date (February 27, 2026) appeared, revealing that Capcom referenced the PS4 logo alongside the logos of the PS5, Xbox Series, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, despite the absence of the PS4 in the list of supported platforms.
DuskGolem, a reputable source within the Resident Evil community, clarified that the inclusion of the PS4 logo is likely just a standard copyright message and not a confirmation of a PS4 version. However, he did confirm that the PS4 version is currently in production, which he recently disclosed. Additionally, this source also announced that Resident Evil Requiem will be available on the Nintendo Switch 2, a detail that was officially confirmed a few days later.
