Capcom’s Plans for Mega Man
The Capcom ensures that Mega Man is not forgotten, but for now remains without announcing a new game in the series, as they are studying how to bring it back.
Slow Progress in Mega Man Series
Since Mega Man 11 in 2018, we have not had a new original game in the series, but the company claims that “it is one of the most valuable new properties and we are thinking about how to create games for it at a continuous pace,” thanks to VGC.
In the last 15 years, only 3 original Mega Man games have been released, a series that has sold over 38 million units of its titles. However, as mentioned, it has been 6 years since a new original game was released.
Considering that Capcom describes it as one of its most valuable franchises, it is only a matter of time before we have a new original Mega Man, but in the meantime, you will have to continue waiting.
