The most recent firmware update for the PlayStation 5, released by Sony, has been rolled out globally with a focus on enhancing the gaming experience for users.
Improved Audio Features for DualSense Controller
A key highlight of this update is the enhancement of audio features for the DualSense controller. Following last month’s beta version that introduced audio improvements, this firmware update now enables the DualSense speakers to deliver sound at higher volumes. Moreover, the microphone input and noise-cancellation capabilities of the controller have been significantly enhanced. With the help of a new AI-powered machine learning model, noise from button presses and game audio is effectively suppressed.
Exciting Screen Sharing Interactions
In addition, the update brings new and engaging screen sharing interactions. Users can now interact more actively when viewing Screen Share in full-screen mode by moving the cursor around the screen. They can also ping objects, draw lines to assist the host, and send emoji-based reactions directly to the host’s screen. These interactive features are activated by default, but host players have the option to disable them if desired. Furthermore, an upcoming update at the end of the month will extend Screen Share interactions to the PlayStation app.
