Microsoft Gaming Rumored to Bring Starfield to PlayStation 5
Microsoft Gaming has released several games for the PlayStation 5 throughout 2024, but contrary to what was previously rumored by various unofficial sources, Starfield was not part of the lineup that the company converted for the previously considered rival platform.
Plans for Starfield on PS5
Tom Warren from The Verge and Jez Corden from Windows Central, two well-known sources within the Xbox community, recently discussed Microsoft Gaming’s plans for the PS5. In this conversation, they reiterated that Starfield is planned for release on Sony’s console.
Warren, the first source to mention Indiana Jones and the Great Circle for the PS5, previously stated that Starfield would arrive on the PS5 along with the Shattered Space expansion, which did not happen. In this recent conversation, he mentioned that he is unsure of what happened, but the plan was to launch the PS5 version of Starfield along with the expansion.
According to Warren, the game has been ready for some time and may even arrive in the second half of 2025. However, due to the initial prediction not coming to fruition, he warns that nothing can be confirmed with absolute certainty.
