The Polish studio Teyon is getting ready to launch RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business on July 17th, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, with a Mac version confirmed for later. This standalone game, available digitally and physically (only on consoles), will be priced at €29.99.
Exploring OmniTower, this new approach to the RoboCop universe puts emphasis on indoor combat and introduces new gameplay elements. Players can now embody Alex Murphy before his transformation into RoboCop for the first time in the franchise’s games. They can also take charge of the ED-209 unit, battling against both human and mechanical foes.
Gamers will face new challenges such as flying drones, jetpack-wearing enemies, katana-wielding cyborgs, and heavily armored military units. To overcome these hurdles, new weapons like the Cryo Cannon, which immobilizes enemies with a burst of ice, and more aggressive finishing moves like slamming enemies against environmental objects have been included.
Building on the success of the previously launched RoboCop: Rogue City, which garnered over a million players and faithfully portrayed the iconic film character, Unfinished Business acts as a standalone expansion with a heightened emphasis on high-octane action and up-close combat.
