Sony has introduced a rental service for PlayStation 5 in the UK, giving gamers the option to access the console without having to purchase it. The service, already popular in Japan, is now available through PlayStation Direct UK.
Rental Options
Users in the UK can choose from rental options such as the PS5 Digital Edition for £11 per month, the PS5 with disc reader for £12 per month, and the PS5 Pro for £19 per month. Additionally, the PlayStation VR2 is available for rent for £18.50 per month (or £20 per month with access to the game Horizon: Call of the Mountain) and the PlayStation Portal for £6.50 per month.
Rental Contracts and Products
Rental contracts can be for 12, 24, or 36 months, with the option for monthly renewal. Available rental products include various versions of the PS5, bundles with DualSense controllers, PlayStation Portal Remote Player, PlayStation VR2, and the wireless DualSense Edge controller. Raylo manages all rental contracts, handling transactions, communications, and support services related to the rental of devices. They have a usage policy allowing the return of devices with normal signs of wear and tear, such as some scratches or minor dents.
