It’s been more than a decade since fans last got their hands on a new Castlevania game, but Konami is keeping the series alive through classic collections, collaborations with other games like Vampire Survivors, a Netflix animated series, and even a musical in Japan.
Castlevania: Awakening in the Moonlight Musical
Announced towards the end of 2024, the musical titled “Castlevania: Awakening in the Moonlight” is being created by Takarazuka Revue and is being described as a “romantic musical” that will be running for the Japanese audience from June 7 to July 20.
While tickets are already on sale for Japanese fans, Konami has also extended the invitation to foreign fans to purchase tickets if they’re interested in catching the musical during their next trip to the country.
This musical venture is the most recent from the company within the Castlevania franchise, which continues to thrive without any new game. However, the hope for something fresh still lingers in the hearts of its dedicated fans.
