FromSoftware’s New Unannounced Game: The Mystery of “FMC”
FromSoftware is currently working on a new game that has not yet been announced, with the codename “FMC.” According to the website MP1st, the project is in an advanced stage of development and is expected to be released by the end of 2025, although there has been no official confirmation yet.
Speculations and Interpretations
The new game adds to the studio’s other projects, including The Duskbloods, an exclusive title for the Switch 2, and post-launch support for Elden Ring: Nightreign. This information confirms that FromSoftware is working full steam ahead, with multiple projects running simultaneously.
It is still unknown what “FMC” stands for, but the codename has sparked various interpretations. According to MP1st, FromSoftware’s projects using codes starting with “F” have traditionally been associated with games like Dark Souls or Armored Core. This has led to speculations about the possibility of it being a remaster of Dark Souls III or an expansion for Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. Some also believe it could be a new intellectual property, although this hypothesis is less discussed.
President Miyazaki’s Assurance
FromSoftware’s president, Hidetaka Miyazaki, stated that the company will not abandon single-player games. Despite The Duskbloods being an online game with PvPvE, Miyazaki mentioned that the team will continue to produce traditional single-player games, such as Elden Ring.
Could we dream of Bloodborne or not?
