Lost Soul Aside: A Dream Come True
Lost Soul Aside is finally available, a dream of Yang Bing that, during his 10-year journey, caught the attention of Sony Interactive Entertainment. This earned him financial support as the company decided to support his ambition to release a game inspired by Final Fantasy Versus 13.
Initial Reactions and Criticisms
Now that Lost Soul Aside is available, players can finally experience Bing’s dream, whether through the demo, the countless videos scattered across the internet that already show all 12 hours of the game, or through the game itself. However, reactions have been mixed, with the Steam community in particular leaving harsh criticisms for another PC game supported by PlayStation.
On the PlayStation Store, Lost Soul Aside displays an average of 4.17 out of 5 stars, but on Steam, players are not as satisfied. Currently, Lost Soul Aside has an average of 54% on Steam, where it recorded over 3 thousand players simultaneously in the first hours of availability.
Community Feedback and Requests
Lost Soul Aside is dividing the PC community, which is criticizing “poor optimization,” the current state of the game at launch “which looks like an early access,” others say we are facing a “B-movie” game with serious performance issues, “I didn’t have 10 consecutive seconds above 30fps. In 2025, this is unacceptable,” while others criticize the quality of voices and cutscenes.
We are still in the early hours of Lost Soul Aside, but there are already numerous requests for updates and fixes to at least improve the quality of the PC version.
