The new game Honkai: Nexus Anima has attracted attention with its gameplay reveal, reminiscent of Palworld and possibly drawing the eyes of Nintendo’s legal team. Florian Mueller, closely monitoring Nintendo’s case against Pocketpair, pointed out mechanics in Honkai: Nexus Anima that could infringe on Nintendo’s patented “riding flying objects” feature from Pokémon Scarlet. Despite Pocketpair removing gliding from Palworld, Nintendo updated their patent to include summoning creatures for travel, a feature also present in Honkai: Nexus Anima. Looks like Nintendo’s lawyers might have a new target!
