The Disney announced new details about The Return of Ursula, the fourth set of cards for Disney Lorcana: Trading Card Game, which will be available from May 17 through three different packs.
Focused on the iconic villain from The Little Mermaid, this set will showcase the power-hungry villain trying to control Lorcana, motivating players to defend themselves from her onslaught. Among the new cards are Bruno (yes, now and other members of the Madrigal family from the movie Encanto, Mickey, the Sorcerer’s Apprentice, and a new Ursula card.
Disney Lorcana: Trading Card Game – The Return of Ursula starts with the Starter Decks, decks for 19.99 euros which include everything needed to play, centered around the Madrigal family from Encanto. Amethyst & Amber is a Starter Deck focused on the Madrigal family from Encanto, while Sapphire & Steel is an initial Deck focused on Anna from Frozen. Both include a small playmat, two foil cards, and an extra envelope.
Additionally, there are Booster Packs for 5.99 euros, Playmats for 19.99 euros, Card Sleeves for 9.99 euros, Deck Boxes for 5.99 euros, and the Illumineer’s Trove for 59.99 euros. The latter is described as “the ultimate treasure for collectors and players.”
According to the official description, “the Illumineer’s Trove includes a full art storage box with 6 ink-themed card dividers to keep Disney Lorcana TCG cards safe and organized. The Illumineer’s Trove includes 8 random booster packs and helps track damage to characters and locations with 6 high-quality dice with a magical ink look and gold printed numbers.”
Lorcana is described as a family-friendly TCG that functions like a board game:
“The goal of the game is to reach 20 points of legend or knowledge before the other player(s). These points are accumulated with the cards we play. In other words, it’s a deck-building game. All cards with abilities have the ability explained on the card itself, making it a very accessible TCG game.”
