Red Dead Redemption 2 was released in late 2018 by Rockstar Games, who is currently gearing up for the release of GTA 6 in May 2026. However, there are rumors that the company may continue to release updated versions of some of their beloved games.
Rumors about GTA 4 coming to the PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2 have been circulating recently, and now unofficial sources are suggesting that Red Dead Redemption 2 will also be released for the latest platforms, much to the excitement of Rockstar fans.
According to GameReactor, their sources have mentioned a version of Red Dead Redemption 2 for the PS5 and Xbox Series, while Nintenduo has heard about a version for the Nintendo Switch 2, all scheduled for 2025.
Official comments on this possibility have not been made yet, but Take-Two has shown interest in the Switch 2 and in releasing updated versions of their classics to reach more players on new platforms.
