Blizzard says goodbye to “Hero Mastery Gauntlet” mode in Overwatch 2
Blizzard recently announced that the “Hero Mastery Gauntlet” mode will be removed from Overwatch 2. This PvE mode will disappear from the game on June 18, after being available for 3 months.
Season 11 and upcoming changes
On June 18, Season 11 of Overwatch 2 will kick off, introducing new features and adjustments. The team has been evaluating different game modes to determine player preferences, and unfortunately, Hero Mastery Gauntlet didn’t quite hit the mark in terms of player engagement.
Although the “Hero Mastery Solo Courses” will still be accessible, Blizzard is facing challenges with the PvE component in Overwatch 2. The Hero Mode, once a major highlight of the sequel, has been canceled. However, future seasons will bring more courses for players to enjoy.
