Employees of Raven Software, one of several Activision studios working on the Call of Duty series, have filed a complaint against Activision and Microsoft, accusing them of intentionally delaying contract negotiations. The unionized employees filed a complaint with the National Labor Relations Board in the United States, alleging that Activision and Microsoft engaged in “refusal to bargain/bad faith bargaining” as part of discussions across all their jobs.
“After Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, our members were hopeful that they would quickly progress to a first contract at Raven Software,” said Claude Cummings Jr, a representative of the employees, to Game File. “Unfortunately, this did not happen. We urge Microsoft to address the concerns raised in the Unfair Labor Practices charge and make it a priority to reach a fair agreement.”
A Microsoft representative responded by stating that the company is negotiating in good faith, but negotiations have been ongoing since the summer of 2022 when the union was recognized.
