Pokémon Legends Z-A Introduces Mega Evolutions
The Pokémon Company and Game Freak have unveiled that Mega Chesnaught, Mega Delphox, and Mega Greninja are set to make their debut in Pokémon Legends Z-A, broadening the lineup of creatures with evolutions in the upcoming game.
In a fresh trailer brimming with gameplay footage captured on the enhanced Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game, Game Freak presents these new Mega Evolutions, while also confirming the inclusion of Mega Raichu.
Unlocking Mega Evolutions
Slated for release on October 16, 2025, on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch, Pokémon Legends Z-A stands as the next installment in the beloved series. However, to acquire these Mega creatures, certain conditions must be met.
The Pokémon Company clarifies that Chesnaughtite, Delphoxite, and Greninjite are Mega Stones, crucial items needed to trigger the Mega Evolution of the corresponding creature. These Mega Stones can only be obtained as rewards from Rank events in Z-A Club.
This novel multiplayer mode designed for up to 4 players challenges participants to eliminate as many creatures controlled by other trainers as possible. Successfully achieving the required score allows players to procure these Mega Stones and initiate Mega Evolution.
