At the spectacular Xbox Games Showcase of 2024, broadcasted on June 9th, Microsoft Gaming proudly displayed the upcoming efforts of its internal studios, featuring Indiana Jones, Doom, Fable, and a surprising return to the origins of the Gear of War series.
According to Tom Warren from TheVerge, a reliable source for Microsoft Gaming plans, the company is currently working on releasing three heavy hitters in 2025: DOOM: The Dark Ages, Fable, and Gears of War: E-Day. Warren even mentioned that initially, the plan was to release The Coalition’s game first, meaning Gears of War: E-Day would arrive before Playground Games’ next game, scheduled for release between October and December 2025.
Warren hinted that gamers won’t have to wait too long to see how Gears of War: E-Day pushes the Xbox Series consoles, but the wait for the new Fable could extend for an extra 18 months. Plans may change, and Fable might arrive sooner, but it’s best to prepare for patience and hold out for another 12 months.
In a nutshell, Fable is aiming for a Q4 2025 release, and Gears of War: E-Day is targeting a 2025 launch. Stay tuned for more updates and gaming leaks!
