Sales Update
Pikmin 4 remains the best-selling physical game in Japanese stores, with sales nearing 720,000 units in just under a month. This success highlights the impact of the Nintendo Switch on various Nintendo properties.
In the latest sales update, Japanese stores reported selling nearly 78,000 Nintendo Switch consoles, over 37,000 PlayStation 5 units, and more than 1,000 Xbox Series consoles.
Top Selling Games and Consoles
Some of the top-selling games in Japan include Pikmin 4, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Minecraft, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Splatoon 3, Nintendo Switch Sports, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Party Superstars, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
When it comes to consoles, the Switch OLED leads the pack, followed by the PlayStation 5, Switch, Switch Lite, PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S, and New 2DS LL.
Nintendo’s dominance in the Japanese market is evident, with the Nintendo Switch leading the way in both game and console sales!
