FromSoftware is set to launch the Deep of Night mode for Elden Ring Nightreign tomorrow. This new gameplay mode is tailored for players who have already mastered the game and are seeking a more challenging experience.
In Deep of Night mode, the Limveld map becomes significantly more hostile with stronger enemy versions and the removal of the Nightlords option. Players will have to navigate through various Depths, each progressively more difficult. While the initial levels are manageable, challenges ramp up from the fourth level onwards, with the fifth level resembling a survival marathon.
Aside from increased difficulty, the mode introduces special relics known as Depths Relics, offering unique powers with potential negative effects. Additionally, certain weapons feature combinations of advantages and disadvantages, requiring players to strategize before use.
Progression in Deep of Night mode is contingent on more than defeating enemies; consistency is crucial. Player performance, whether in victories or defeats, impacts their ranking and overall progression. The mode will be accessible to all players simultaneously starting at the end of the day on the 11th (adjusted for time zones).
This launch follows the recent 1.02.2 update, released today, which includes character and attack balance adjustments. Installing this patch is mandatory for accessing the Deep of Night mode.
