The Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed Shadows, released on March 20, 2025, has reached 2 million players. This number surpasses the releases of previous titles in the series, such as Assassin’s Creed Origins and Odyssey. However, it is important not to confuse the number of players with the number of copies sold.
On Steam, the game has already reached a peak of 60 thousand simultaneous players and has finally entered the TOP 30 of the most played titles on the platform. Currently, Shadows maintains a “mostly positive” rating on Steam, with about 79% of favorable reviews out of approximately 6 thousand user reviews.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, bringing players an adventure in feudal Japan.
In our analysis of Assassin’s Creed Shadows: “Ubisoft has finally released Assassin’s Creed Shadows, after several setbacks. It follows the series formula, without taking risks, delivering a game that is consistent with what fans already know. Naoe is a good surprise, while Yasuke seems to not know what he’s doing here. Fans of the saga will love Shadows, but it’s a shame it’s not more daring.”
