The Ubisoft company announced that, contrary to what was communicated earlier, it will not be present at E3 2023, which takes place in June in Los Angeles.
The company informed VGC that it has chosen to withdraw from E3 2023 and focus on Ubisoft Forward, an event that will be digitally streamed worldwide and where new features of its upcoming releases will be revealed.
Ubisoft joins Nintendo, Xbox, PlayStation, and EA in the list of major publishers that will miss E3, an event that returns in a physical and digital format after years in a digital format due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The company told VGC that despite the great moments experienced at E3 over the years, they decided to change direction, and “we will present a Ubisoft Forward event in due course, on June 12, in Los Angeles.”
With games like Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, Skull and Bones, The Crew: Motorfest, and XDefiant scheduled for the next fiscal year, these are the strong candidates to appear in the June Forward event.
