Build a Rocket Boy Confirms Layoffs
The gaming company Build a Rocket Boy has confirmed that they will be laying off employees, weeks after releasing MindsEye, their first game, on June 10, 2025.
Reports from employees led to the official confirmation from the company itself, stating, “We have had to make the painful decision to notify our hardworking team of some internal changes at Build a Rocket Boy.” Despite working to reassign roles for as many affected employees as possible, the company stated, “Unfortunately, we are starting the formal process of discussions that may result in layoffs.”
Commitment to Transparency and Fairness
“This decision was not taken lightly, and we are committed to managing this process with transparency, fairness, and respect for all employees. We will provide more details to the team in the coming weeks,” the company added.
The company acknowledges that the release of MindsEye was a significant milestone, but they understand that more needs to be done for the community in the coming years. They remain dedicated to achieving their goals.
