James Gunn’s Focus on Upcoming Projects
James Gunn is currently focused on the upcoming release of the Superman movie, hitting theaters on July 10. However, he hasn’t forgotten about other ongoing projects at DC Studios, such as Peacemaker Season 2, set to arrive in August on HBO Max.
Waller Series Still in Development
Gunn recently addressed a fan’s question about the Waller series, a third DC project announced in 2023. Despite the lack of updates since then, Gunn confirmed that the Waller series is still in development.
Waller was introduced as a spin-off from Peacemaker Season 1, with Viola Davis playing the role of the powerful leader. The series will delve into the downfall of Waller and showcase various government initiatives. When Peacemaker returns in August, Rick Flag Sr. will take over as the new director of ARGUS, setting the stage for new developments in the series.
