Aspyr Media Announces Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered
Aspyr Media has announced Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered, a new collection featuring three remasters of Lara Croft’s original adventures.
The Darkness Trilogy: Remastered Classics
One day after the arrival of the Netflix animation Tomb Raider, Aspyr reveals that they are preparing updated versions of the games Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation from 1999, Tomb Raider: Chronicles from 2000, and Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness from 2003, presented as “The Darkness Trilogy.”
Developed in partnership with Core Design and Eidos Interactive, these three games marked the end of the first era of the Tomb Raider series, which would return in 2006 with Legend, the first reboot of the franchise and the beginning of a new trilogy produced by Crystal Dynamics.
Enhancements and Corrections
Considering that these are arguably the three worst games in the franchise, with Angel of Darkness being the strongest contender for that title, it will be interesting to see the improvements and fixes that Aspyr Media is preparing for this game.
Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered is set to release on February 14, 2025.
