Stellar Blade: PlayStation 5 Release
The highly anticipated game, Stellar Blade, is set to launch on PlayStation 5 on April 26. Developed by the Korean company Shift Up, known for their success with Goddess of Victory on mobile, this project marks their venture into creating premium games for console audiences.

Sony Interactive Entertainment took notice of Shift Up’s potential and decided to collaborate with the Korean studio. This partnership came about after a visit from Shuhei Yoshida, who experienced the first prototype of Stellar Blade in 2021. Sony’s involvement led to an expansion of the game’s scope, with the company providing support in localization, quality control, development tools, and global promotion.
Director Kim Jong Tae shared that while the storyline remained unchanged, PlayStation’s influence resulted in significant structural improvements. Originally conceived as a smaller-scale game, Stellar Blade benefited from the expertise of the Japanese company in console game development.
Described as a blend of action and exploration, with combat mechanics inspired by popular titles like NieR: Automata and Sekiro, Stellar Blade promises to deliver an immersive gaming experience for players on the PlayStation 5.
