Steven Spielberg’s Failed Proposal
Steven Spielberg expressed interest in making a film adaptation of Call of Duty, but his proposal was rejected by Activision due to the conditions demanded by the director. According to reports from Puck News, Spielberg, known for being a video game enthusiast and a fan of the Call of Duty series, presented a proposal through his production company Amblin, in collaboration with Universal negotiator Jimmy Horowitz. However, Activision chose not to proceed with the proposal, stating that Spielberg wanted full control over the production, including final editing rights and marketing, leading the company to explore other options.
