Despite being a commercial failure for Nintendo, the Wii U was home to some critically acclaimed games: Bayonetta 2, Splatoon, Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101, Super Mario Maker, and Xenoblade Chronicles X, among others.
Rare Sales Sightings
Even though the console is no longer supported by Nintendo, a lone Wii U was sold in the US in September, marking the first new sale since May 2022. Surprisingly, the last new Vita unit was sold in November 2021, with 3 units purchased.
Is any of this significant? Not really. Just some interesting sales trivia.
