Apex Legends: Showdown Event Introduces Wild Iron
Apex Legends fans, get ready! The Showdown event makes a return with the Wild Iron update on September 16th, bringing new possibilities and excitement to dedicated players seeking fresh fun.
New Collaborative Weapon and Explosive Upgrades
Rampart joins the party with a new weapon collaboration with Fuse on the Flatline. This special weapon features bullets that can explode on impact, placing a bomb on downed enemies. You can disable the bomb on a teammate when reviving them. During the event, players can also find more explosive gear, including a chance to pick up an EPG.
Respawn has disclosed that replicators will contain 8 Wild Cards during the Wild Iron event, boosting explosive power and offering new benefits like reviving teammates with more health and shields, gaining an extra grenade, blowing up downed enemies, and more.
Updates have been announced for two Legends:
- Mad Maggie: Significant changes to her Level 2 upgrades make Mad Maggie more reliable. The new Gunrunning upgrade provides her with more flexibility in using short-range weapons effectively. Additionally, the Fire Ball now leaves magma stains on the ground as it moves forward, while Mad Maggie takes 50% less fire damage from all sources.
- Seer: Seer steps into the spotlight with increased combat power in his Focus of Attention (Tactical) and Ultimate Exhibit, addressing past issues that made him too oppressive for opponents.
