Avowed: Obsidian Entertainment’s New Action RPG
Avowed from Obsidian Entertainment and Microsoft Gaming has been available since February 13 in early access, as part of the Deluxe Edition contents, allowing thousands of players to enjoy the new action RPG from the creators of The Outer Worlds.
Player Numbers and Reception
Avowed is one of the key single-player releases of the first half of 2025 and in these early days of availability, it has managed to reach nearly 13,000 players simultaneously on Steam, the popular digital platform from Valve for PC gamers.
On its first Saturday, Avowed reached 12,811 players simultaneously, its best record since the early access launch, a number already surpassing the 12,138 players simultaneously recorded by Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
However, Avowed falls short of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle in player reviews. The title from Bethesda, developed by Machine Games, holds an 88.98% user review score, while Avowed has an average of 78.28% in user reviews from Steam players who joined the early access in the Deluxe Edition.
