Exciting News for Console Players
Battlefield 6 is introducing a new crossplay mode exclusively for console players, allowing PlayStation and Xbox users to battle it out against each other. This feature can be toggled on or off in the game settings, giving players the flexibility to choose their preferred matchmaking experience. When enabled, console players will have priority in lobbies, but PCs may join in if needed. If disabled, matches will be strictly console-only, ensuring a level playing field for console gamers.
Enhancing Console Gameplay
To elevate the gaming experience on consoles, Battlefield 6 has introduced the Flick Stick mechanic, enabling players to swiftly execute a 180-degree turn with a single controller movement. This mechanic aims to complement aim assist and enhance combat reactions. According to senior console combat designer Matthew Nickerson, while some players had reservations about the mechanic initially, it is crucial for balancing gameplay with PC counterparts who use mouse and keyboard.
