Gearbox Software Delays Release of Borderlands 4 on Nintendo Switch 2
Gearbox Software has announced that the release of Borderlands 4 on Nintendo Switch 2 has been delayed from the previously expected date of October 2-3. No new release date has been provided at this time.
Reason for the Delay
The developer explained on social media that the delay is necessary to allow for additional development time for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game. Although specific reasons for the delay were not shared, Gearbox emphasized that this decision was made in order to ensure the best possible quality for Borderlands 4 on Nintendo Switch 2.
By taking more time to work on the game, Gearbox hopes to address any potential issues and provide players with a polished gaming experience. Additionally, the delay will allow for a more coordinated release of the Nintendo Switch 2 version with the introduction of cross saves.
